I own a Springer from working stock and recently, I’ve been doing basic gun dog training with her, she’s picking it up quickly and doing really well.
I’ve just returned from training classes. The classes are for obedience and agility but one of the trainers has fully trained gun dogs that he competes, trains, works and demonstrates with, so he takes me aside to do gun dog work while the other dogs do the agility. Today I was asking about competing in field trials with her if she completes all her training and he said the only problem would be her tail, so now I’m looking more towards the YKC junior handler field trials because of her tail.
My question is, does anyone have any experience working an undocked dog?
N/a- Is it possible to dock her at 15 months old, shouldn’t it be done before 5 days old. How did you go about this?

Im young girl who has a four year old American Cocker Spaniel.
She is doing well with training so far and we are going walks now and she gets some training out that. Sometimes. I need really good tips though maybe if you know any websites. Also this will be my first dog show and Hannah’s first also (Hannah is my dog).
If you know any dog shows for kids around Indiana that are good for first timers that would be great. I have been to dog shows and I have seen them on TV so I know a lot about that. Thank You
I have also put her on a diet to help loose weight. I have been taking notes as well at school
If you know any places on the internet where get some health dog food recipes that would be great also:)

She doesn’t like going to the bathroom outside. And I can’t seem to find why.
She’ll be outside, and come in–only to pee or poo, somewhere. It’s an annoyance, and I don’t know how to train her.

Also, please list the basic commands a dog should know.
